Mom was moved to rehab today! She was discharged from the hospital on the 6th day, which is really great. She is healing up quickly, and her breathlessness is improving. Being out of breath is very normal they say, following this type of surgery. She is still carrying about 17 pounds of extra fluid, but even this should start to flush out with the Lasix as well as the rehab itself. Today starts her first day of rehab activities. She is very apprehensive about it. Please be praying that she can have a positive attitude about the exercises, and not feel anxious. She has had such bad back pain that she struggles to even sleep. Her back actually hurts more than her chest at this point.
