My girl

Kate hates when I talk about her too much, and she is not thrilled when I post pictures...but guess what? I am just so blessed by my girl, and was so touched at her induction ceremony the other night, that I am posting anyway! She was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta which is the official communication studies honor society of the National Communication Association. Katy did not want to make a big deal of it, so just Craig and I drove out to Eastern. It was held in Walton Hall, in the prayer chapel. It is a beautiful small little chapel, candlelit, wooden beams, only about 10 tiny pews.

There were five students being inducted, and each of them had a faculty member introduce them and give a short biography about them. One of Kate's profs gave such a beautiful intro for her--we were blown away. What a blessing to be there to hear it.

Mostly, we are just amazed at the gifts that the Lord
has bestowed on this amazing girl.
Her passions...her strengths...her determination.
This girl wants to help change the world, and is determined to
do her part in making things better. She is a wonderful writer...
Saving the whales, the rainforest, all endangered species...
Fighting for equality and justice...
WHO KNOWS!
I cannot wait to see what comes next.
She is seeking an internship for the summer,
hoping to be in Manhattan or Washington DC--
in radio, television, somewhere that she can get her foot in the door.
She is studying Communication with a concentration in Media--
only one semester left after the current one.
My little girl is not so little anymore!!!
